What an awe-inspiring day!! Having waded through my tears at having to run in memory of Alison and Lara instead of helping to find them a cure, I donned my running gear and bespoke 'Alison and Lara' vest, slapped on the sunscreen and a hat and ran a good race!!
The course was undulating, cross-country terrain and very hot!!! It started and finished with up hills ... but I stuck in there, found a space to run and managed running without music and Laura's gentle encouragement ... so very proud of my 28 minutes!!
The sea of pink was quite something to behold ... 4000+ women doing their best to beat cancer ... how can you fail to be inspired???
Couldn't have done it without C25K ..... also very humbling to be an inspiration to others .... Happy Monday everyone, make the most of it xx

Congratulations - that's great time especially in the crazy heat and with hills too, and having to deal with such an emotive day. Hope you are well (thinking back to your pre 10k posts)...
Thanks TT ... have side-stepped one op, but now they want to do another ... trying to side-step that one for now too, because I'd need at least 8 weeks off running!!!! Doing ok so far though lots of love x
Definitely an amazing event ... I run without my glasses, so I couldn't read all the back signs ... I cry at the drop of a hat anyway and that would have left me in bits! x
Congratulations!! Haven't managed to do a RFL this year, but I've done 5 or 6 in the past (mostly walking) and they always leave me in bits emotionally! Excellent time!! The emotion certainly does carry you around!
