Treadmill went pop on Monday at very end of wk6r2. New treadmill ordered paid extra for next day delivery . After lots of lies from courier it did not turn up yesterday, so last night decided to do first run outside. Wet gear and hi viz for both me and the dog. Set off out of village . The rain turned torrential, Street lights finished so pitch dark then a car would come on main beam so you have turn away , then managed to reset Sarah back to start, another car came turned head away landed in big deep wet puddle and went arse over breakfast time I. So wet muddy and no idea how long I had been I running so turned back.
New treadmill turned up , all fitted in to gym so started Wk6 R3 again. Got to about 13 minutes of actual running and I was done.
Two nights in row failed. Cant understand, have run for longer on Wk5R3 . Going to doing nothing tomorrow and try again Saturday. ☹️

You said "can't understand" but the answer is in the words before that ... "two nights in row". The first night sounds totally understandable, weather, puddles, traffic, app ...! But the thing is that you ran, even if you didn't complete the run, and so you still require the rest day. Also, many people find two rest days at this end of the programme are even better.
Micro-tears in muscle from any impact exercise, healing ... v important.
To be honest as I hadn’t completed yesterday,I sort of did not count it. It has disheartening me as always managed every other level,so after Wk5R3 I was delighted but tonight only managed 13 minutes of running . Will try again Saturday morning
Understandable, it's not a "Completed Run" but you did run and in quite difficult circumstances that first one. I suspect most people have "practice runs", I've had quite a few now.
The rest days aren't just part of the plan, more like general rules for all runners until ... I think actually people here have said all but the most experienced!
Perhaps if someone happens to be advising on updates to the app there could be a warning if you try to load up a run the day after your last!
Do think I should do some exercises tomorrow then?. I didn’t know whether to do no excerise tomorrow. Normal I on none run day I do 20 minutes walking , then 20 minutes on bike , then weights for about 20 minutes
Running outside is very different to running on a treadmill. For me, the biggest difference is that you have to try and regulate your own pace. Don't beat yourself up about this. Up to graduation I was doing a lot of my running on a treadmill because of shin splints. Since graduating I've done pretty much every run outside but the transition was very difficult. Not a failure - just practice runs!
