Well, I had a lovely week long holiday in Menorca. I took my running stuff and promised myself that I would eat fruit everyday and not overindulge at all. Of course, this plan backfired on day one and I've done no running for almost two weeks! The last run I completed was week 6, run 1. I was enjoying running so much before I went away but I now feel back to square one in relation to feeling self conscious and scared that I won't be able to run anymore. I just wondered if anyone else had experienced simular feelings after a break and wondered if there were any tips for getting back off the couch! Thanks in advance. Kerri x

You know what? just try week 6 run 2 and see how you go. My tip for getting back off the couch is just...to get back off the couch. Get out your running gear and go.
As ejvcruns says go out and try it. Don't overthink it.
Running is like an old friend from school, you may not see them for a while but it's good to meet up again.
In life you have to have treats, that includes a holiday, a lot of runners will take a week or two off of running and then come back, it re-invigorates them, so I'm told.
Stop worrying about it, the program doesn't stipulate that the weeks are consecutive, give W6R2 a go, there's nothing wrong with a practice run should things not go the way you want them to.
I seriously doubt you'll have done that much damage in 2 weeks.
Thank you! I'm working from home this morning so I'm in my running gear planning to go out at 10. Actually, I'm a bit more relaxed since reading the responses on here. Think I'd convinced myself that having two weeks off had ruined everything I'd achieved so far. Thanks again!
Don't think about it, just do it. I don't see what's scary about it. Just one foot in front of the other, and go ..... ππββοΈβοΈ

Don't worry, just put the trainers on and go. Then you'll know for sure how far you can go. Take it slow and steady and you'll be fine Im sure.
