Week 8 Run 2

Met this friendly guy in my yard this morning and took it as a good omen for today's run! Good to know somebody's praying for me, LOL :). The run went well! Actually a bit more challenging than run 1 for whatever reason... think my calves were a bit shot from strength training the day before. But alas, thanks to the prayers from my little friend in the yard I survived! I went about as slow as one can run without it counting as a walk..... but I did it nonetheless! Getting real close to that graduation badge now!

Slow is great... and if you keep to it... you will be jumping around like that super little fellow after nine weeks!

Walking and running are different movements and have different cardio effects (and, I imagine, skeletal effects) so it doesn't even matter if you are running slower than walking. Bravo!
