20 mins in the bag!

Well that was great. I completed week 5 today with the dreaded 20 mins without stopping. And. It was fine. OK I was ready to stop by the end but really what everyone says is right. The previous runs really have set you up for this. And what's strangest of all to me, who has always HATED running, is the fact that I really enjoyed it. I actually spend my off day looking forward to my running day. This is psychologically very disorienting to a 54 year old lazy tyke.

It's amazing how this programme changes your attitude to running and runners. I used to think what a bunch of nutters. Very happy to be a nutter. Well done!

Great to hear your positivity for someone who's going onto W5R2 tomorrow (eep!). Keep up the good work and positive role modelling for those of us just behind you 👍😉 xx

Good for you Wingie. The long run at the end of this week feels like a real achievement.

Well done. I am doing the same (Wk5R3) tomorrow, so hope I am as successful as you have been. Well done .

By the way I am 56 yr old lazy tyke who always hated running, who also looks forward to the next run, although that may change after tomorrow 😀

Do you know what I loved not having all that walking. It felt like I'd become a proper runner!

Sounds as though you had a fab run! I agree with you that I didn't miss the walking and found I could recover while running - a mind-blowing revelation 😃
