I feel I have failed

Went out yesterday all prepared for week 5 and all I was doing is the first run, so not much difference to the previous weeks and I couldn't do it. I had been poorly since Wednesday with the worse migraine I've had in years but I did give myself time to recover. I started my run ok and then my breathing went off. I felt like I couldn't get my breath and my legs felt so heavy. I had to walk when I should have been running. Granted it was only about 10 seconds but why did everything just go wrong. Feeling really deflated and frustrated.

Ah that migraine thing. I reckon it still got you as I think running exposes any weakness the body may have. So after a migraine you might feel well again if you were not running, but try running and exhaustion kicks in even when the symptoms have gone. I say this because that's how it gets me. Try again Wednesday and you'll do it no problem..😄

Take more rest. You are clearly not yet over your illness.

You will come back refreshed and back to plan 🏃🏼‍♀️😃

Firstly, is say that you haven't failed as you got out there and gave it a try.

I'm not an expert on migraines but I'd say that be your body needs just a little longer to recover from your latest migraine.

Put this run down as a practice run, try not to beat yourself up too much, take some rest days and try again in maybe 2/3 days. Hope you feel better soon so that you can get back to the running.

There is no such thing as failed, you went out and practiced your next run following your migraine, learn from it and try again.

Legs get heavy because they are not getting enough oxygen in your blood supply, because you are not breathing deeply and fully, because you are running too fast for your current fitness level.

Slow down, is all you have to do.

Now you know what to do you will be fine.

You only fail when you slump permanently back onto the couch.

Keep going.

I actually went out this morning and smashed it, so I'm feeling on top of the world again. I did think if I don't succeed in one run I will just repeat it until I do it then move on. Thanks everyone for the motivation you've all been brilliant

You haven't failed, your out there give it a go. Even after feeing I'll. most people wouldn't bother so don't be hard on yourself. It might just take a little longer to get back into your stride.

Keep it up:)!!!
