In bed with a cup of tea and a cat on the bed. Heavenly bliss. Trouble is trainers are calling. Second 25 minute run awaits. The duvet is winning the battle at the moment!! Plan is to run today, Tuesday then Parkrun Saturday. Is that too big a gap between Tuesday and Saturday? It's hard fitting runs in around kids commitments and work. Hope I find the motivation to move soon!!!

Sunday morning duvet challenge

The forecast is pretty good for most of the country, so pick your time. Relish the duvet moment when you can.......so long as you don't miss the run.
As for the gap before your parkrun, I bet it will do you good. You will be refreshed and raring to go and that is when my parkrun PBs have turned up, not when I was running every other day.
Running has to fit round life and it always amazes me how people, who a couple of months ago didn't know how they would fit running into their lives, prioritise their runs to such a degree.
Keep running, keep smiling.
Thank you for such a lovely reply and the encouragement. I love the posts on here. Often just reading them has been my motivation.
And thank you for the advice about the gap before my parkrun. That's my running week sorted. I'm off out of my duvet now and into my running shoes. Thank you . And I'm going out with a big smile on my face...feeling smug as I look at other people's curtains drawn having a longer lie in than me!!!

I think that gap is fine.... your legs will be nice and fresh..... I'm still in my nightie... but going out in the next hour!!

Our situations are almost identical only swap your cat for my pup. I'm enjoying my coffee in bed then I'm going get dressed straight into my run gear. At least it's stopped raining 🏃😊

My reply: Week 7 is a b***h on motivation. 25 minutes is hard. You get nothing new (goes the gremlin). Tomorrow will be fine, says gremlin. Cos it's hard, and what's the point, says gremlin.
Trainers on. Shake off that gremlin. You will not regret it AT ALL.

Ah thanks...you're right..it's the battle of that mind thing. I won it. Done my 25 minutes...feeling on top of the world.
