Anyway haven't been on here for a while, but today I ran 9k albeit on my treadmill without stopping. You see I had a quandary.I wanted to go for a run but I also wanted to watch the great north run. As a Geordie I never miss it,so I decided to watch it on my iPad and run at the same time on me tread.
It was great to see the old hometown and watch all of the runners running towards me as I ran towards them ha! I think I was the one going the wrong way ! I really felt I was actually there it was fun to do and before I knew it I was just over the 9k mark. My speed started at 5.5 and gradually got to 6.9. My time was slow but I didn't mind as I was just enjoying the whole thing!!
Thank you so much Tricky2836 much that means a lot ! I'm always hard on myself with me running and always always think I could of done better so to read that reply was great. I'm going to be 60 in Feb so I need to remind myself that I'm not as young as I was but that a side I still enjoy my running. I'm hoping to do a 10k next year.
Thanks so much Charlotte. You know I have to say.......I was quite chuffed with myself. I think as I was watching the great north run I just got carried away in the moment hee! hee! and kept running and running.......! ππ
I'm sure yours will do the same. My Garmin is forerunner 25.I'm not too up on these garmins,in fact I've only had this for about 6 months I think and before that I used a wrist stopwatch . This is much better I have to say! Good luck! ππ
