I took all your advice, slowed my pace and took it easier. It is a marathon and not a sprint. I managed my competitive nature till the last run of 1 min, then I burnt the energy I had left. Finished winded but could still walk 8)

Wonderful.. well done you... slow and steady and you are on the way
Ooh defo slow and steady. Be as slow as you want. I seen a lady months ago, not long after I started the podcast and I'd swear she was doing the moon walk, lol. She was going very steadily, but still moving along. I'm guessing she was doing a podcast, but it doesn't matter how slow you take it, it's getting there in the end that counts.
Pace yourself and you won't go far wrong. I've listened to the coach Laura and to many of the wise members on here, like Oldfloss and it is so important. Speed will come with time, it's building your stamina that's important at your pace that is comfortable for you. 😊
All true. But when you still have something left that 1 minute sprint at the end is a brilliant feeling.
Always difficult to ignore the running and sprinting itch, but well done you, marathon not sprint will get you to W9 happily
