So far so good - week 6 finished today - 6 weeks of equal measures of dread and exhilaration! But somehow I'm doing this.

Hi ificandoit, you are exactly at the same stage as me and i totally echo yr sentiments! can't quite believe i wake up in the morning wanting to run. it's like an alien has taken over my body! Loving this forum and looking for encouragement and sharing experiences with those at similar level to me. Have you done a Park Run yet? did my first one a few weeks ago and lov d it, even though quite a bit was walking. hope to do another one next week and beat my first time. just want to be competitive with myself for now.

Wow - park run already! I thought I'd wait until I know I can keep running for 5km - is it ok to walk bits?

Thanks! I'm full of confidence for the first day and then in my rest day the doubt gremlins come back - it's as if I've forgotten that it really was me that completed the last run.
