Ahhh! Just did it but boy my lungs felt like exploding 😬 I'm sure I don't run properly but having used to run 10ks over 10 years ago and before knee surgery and about 5 stone of weight gain I'm determined I'm going to do this - otherwise I'm going to be a fat old person and I don't want that!

Well done and glad your lungs didn't explode...

You will find your old running legs that's for sure, W4 is still one of the harder ones, because you're building up the stamina, but you're more than a third of the way through. well done for sticking at it...

Happy running

Well done LegalLorna...😊 when my chest got tight I would breath out a couple of long blows to calm things down a bit. Also make sure your shoulders are down and relaxed (as they can beπŸ˜†), to open your chest to get as much oxygen as you can...

You know all this from running before, when your working hard its so easy to tense up...

Good luck with W4 R2😊

I'm on WK4 and I felt much the same as you. It seems to be so much harder than WK3, which I loved, but I suppose it has to be in order for us to achieve. Still doesn't make it any easier to run though!!

Yes that's exactly what I felt like. But my pace is improving so I guess it must be working!!

You have got it just right Kimchoc08 and you are doing wonderfully!

Oldfloss, thank you. I keep repeating to myself slow and steady. Slow and steady. Slow and steady. Slow and steady.

Thanks for that invaluable price of advice xx

Welcome back to the running world.

Don't try to run like you did ten years ago.........settle for a gentle jog, slowly building your stamina. You have to respect the onslaught of increasing years and quietly rebel against it. You will prevail.

Speed and 10ks will come later.

Love that phrase... IannodaTruffe , " ... the onslaught of increasing years and quietly rebel against it"

That is what I have been doing all this time... and folk said I was loopy!!! :)

Please may I use that phrase sometimes if I acknowledge that it is yours? :)

As I seem to remember saying just a couple of days ago, "Who was ever wholly original?"

There are only a limited number of words in the language, so let's share them out. If the time is appropriate, please use..........

I have found the same with Week 4 - much tougher than Week 3. Mind you it didn't help that I accidentally paused the app yesterday so had to run for an extra few minutes! πŸ˜‚

Yep I've done that a few times - I think it pauses halfway through - right off to try run 2 with a slightly dodgy tum....

Well done πŸ‘ take it easy and don't overdo it and you'll get there πŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸƒπŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜Š
