Thanks for the idea but with all the running clubs in town I think I'm set to meet some new running friends weekly!

Shame that you don't have parkrun locally to you. I have a cynical theory that it would take off quicker in the States if it was a paid for run.

Here in the UK it is the most joyful, inclusive and supportive running event, happening in easy reach of nearly every community.......all for free and superbly organised and run by volunteers.

It would be great to hear that you have started one in the USA.

Thanks for your reply! We have free running events and there's free running clubs that I could join. I was just curious about the ParkRun.
