WK6 R2. IT issues nearly did for me! What to do?

So here we go, it is 0613 and I am off and out of the door. Dionne Warwick playing and my run tracking app working then I start the C2 5K app and plug the headphones in. Now this is where my issues start, I always have a little trouble with the jack going into the I Phone, it goes in but I cannot hear Michael, so I adjust. This morning same issue but first time with music, music goes and Michael is there but not in his usual clarity! Damnation no music and a less than clear Michael. Oh well onwards without Dionne (sad as she has been with me for much of my 57 years) just have to do my best.

As for the running well today I found an inner calm and on reflection afterwards it is this that I need to repeat whenever I run. Just concentrate on the now and the coming minutes will look after themselves. I do genuinely believe this is the way forward.

Yes the runs are all different and longer but if you can get yourself settled and calm then actually every thing seems to fall into place.

As for my pain described previously, it is still there and I went back to my GP ( the pain when I bend or after eating is acute) and now have an ultrasound booked for two weeks today. I am happy with that as I know now that I will get the results on the Monday following and can decide what is the way forward.

The running does not make it better or worse, however my challenge to myself remains and it is to complete this programme.

I am so proud also to have lost 14.00KG since I started with C2 5K. Much more to go.

As I am travelling on the 22/09 for 6 weeks I have registered with ParkRun and am going to try to run 5K at Bushy Park on the 16/09/2017.

I know there will be ups and downs between then and now but we all can surmount those!

I am loving the challenges you are setting yourself now you have got stronger and fitter since the beginning of the programme. I have friends who regularly do park run and tell me it is amazing! Wishing you all the best in your journey onwards and upwards .

I also had IT issues this week on R1. No sound at all....music or Jo Whiley. Had to reboot the iPhone for it to sort itself out. No idea why it happened...

I just walked the Bushy Parkrun route with my son this afternoon (along with an ice cream bribe 😄). It's a lovely route, hopefully I can build it in to my runs going forward, and ultimately join the Parkrun.

Good luck with your ultrasound and IT issues!
