Hi everyone!!! Just done my 2nd run today- it's a real challenge for me as I prob last ran in high school and then I spent most of my time fagging it under some bridge🙈🙈 I'm 42 years old and I really really want to achieve this. My 3rd run is scheduled for Friday but I'm worried that week 2 will be too much. Should I just give it a go and if it doesn't work out yet just repeat week one again? Many thanks 😊

Don't worry about the weeks please, each is designed to stretch you a bit to prep for the following one. Do Run 3 of W1 if it doesn't work, re-do it and then once that is done, move on.

A week on here isn't strictly calendar, redoing runs is a perfect way of building stamina and kms in your bank. No need to do the whole week though!

Take it slow and steady so you are giving your body the best chance of doing the challenge. Being a budding speedy Gonzales is not so helpful in the early runs.

Hope your last run works out okay and that W2 is just one run away.

Happy running.

Welcome and well done for completing the first two runs. Lots of experienced and supportive people on here. Believe me, I huffed and puffed through the minute runs in Week 1. I've just finished Week 3 and found running 3 minutes the new 1 minute. Running for a minute now is easy and I'd never had said that a couple of weeks ago! Keep going forward. It's challenging but every week makes the challenges of the previous week easier. Keep going.

If you complete the runs, you're ready to move on. No run ever felt 'comfortable' to me during the program, but you've built up the fitness for next week's challenge. If you start week 2 and you can't complete the session, just try again with the same one. You're doing great.

My approach is never to look far ahead. I normally checkout the run on the morning of the run. So I don't freak out if I look at the weeks ahead.
