"Inspirational" , what me!

Had a text of someone this morning asking how my running was going and then went on to tell me that I had inspired her and her husband to take on the cto5K challenge.

Think they must have thought if that pot bellied, wheezing old bugger can do it anybody can and the thing is they'd be right lol

That's great news, well done. We really are the quiet healthy movement In This country (and others). So many inspire others to start and they then go on To inspire some more. We could do a whole family tree of how far learning to run has gone through our friends and family 😀. Be proud you passed the batton on.

Each one of us, when seen out running, might just be planting a seed in some watcher's mind. We are definitely slowly altering the social norms.

Of course you are an inspiration............ don't ever doubt it.

Hey Rolysmate. You certainly inspired me. Your posts made me well up with pride for not just what you achieved, but why you did it. ☝️🐒

thank you

Of course you are inspirational. You are part of the inspiration family of runners. Your story was touching and genuine and I think helped others to see what could be done. Especially with giving up smoking too, now that made you a tough cookie.

You gave a hand up to the podium to loads of folks, you only had to see how many people were following you!

I am proud to know you (if you know what I mean) even though I don't! And your lovely mum, she would be really chuffed I think that her son has taken up the sport he was good at when young and is encouraging others. That's a legacy!

Well hopefully I can inspire a few more then as I don't feel ready to leave the group yet and think I'll hang around a while!

Too right, it's exactly what you have to do. Next gen runners, the good thing is the next generation is only ever about 9 weeks away here. You get your results in double quick time

Thank you, the comments on here have spun me out a little bit

Brilliant. That's great. Not sure I have converted anyone to C25K but think I may have persuaded a couple of new Park runners this weekend.

Well folks I'm feeling a bit flabbergasted by your responses and not wanting to sound soppy a tad emotional

So on that note I thank you ALL for your wonderful comments and I'm going to get my running shoes on and bugger off out for a run
