Wow...that’s a story! There are so many words to describe this lady....determination & grit do not sound enough because she is stronger than any words....what a woman, what a story.....?!
We all have things going on in our lives & to look at a person you wouldn’t always know..thank goodness that most of us can find a release, something that, for 20 mins, half an hour, an hour, can take us away from those things & help us heal from things that we have been through xxx god bless her xxx
Thank you for sharing Sadie xxx
I listened to the full story on the podcast, and ended up with tears rolling down my face on a busy commuter train! Not the best way to start the day. But what a wonderful woman. Truly puts things in perspective...
The podcast is well worth a listen; at the end, it covers how running can be transformative for people suffering with PTSD, and how that works in terms of brain function etc. Really interesting. But the human story is both heartbreaking and inspiring.
Big hugs to you dear Mummycav. xxx
