I agree, it does sum it all up quite accurately.

Wow thats some reading. But you know at the end of the day does it matter if your fat, thin, young or old, its your life to live as you chose but it does help if you take the healthy route. Thats what all the folks on here have done, they decided to do it Laura's way, the couch to 5K!! :)

That post made me tear right up. I can totally relate. And I appreciate the encouragement and even reverence for newbies here and on his post.

It's a lovely piece isn't it - and yes, I think anyone making the effort deserves admiration.

I loved that. I can relate as someone who runs so early in the morning so as not to meet others and if I do, I cringe at what they must be thinking!

This so deserves a wider audience. It expresses thoughts I've had many times seeing the bigger girls out there, doing it. Good on them.

This is great thanks for sharing. It's hard not to feel embarrassed when you feel slow or fat but it's completely right everyone should be admired for getting off the couch and running no matter what shape or ability.

This made me cry when I read this..... Because 4 months ago that was me - a fat girl trying to run...... Now, after loosing 3 stone and able to run a 10.40 min mile I can feel proud to say "I did it!!"

Thank you sooooo much for posting this!!

Beautiful post, it made me smile and think, "you don't really know what others are thinking".
