Today I decided to mix it up and try an early morning run, well early for me!
I was up and out at 7:15am and to my surprise the run (WK3R2) itself was good.
I didn't look once at my phone to see how much time was left but instead enjoyed the music and the sound of Michael Johnson telling me I was doing really well and to keep it up!!
I live near a country park so my run included scaring a few rabbits ๐ฐ,saying 'morning' to the cows ๐ฎ, listening to the birds ๐ฆ and just taking in the sights, smells and sounds of Mother Nature and I loved it!! The run passed by in a flash and it's the best I've felt after a run since I started the C25K. I shall definitely be doing a morning run again ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ

I love running in the morning! I am out by 05:00 am. I am an early bird but I am not so lucky as you to live near a country park... the thing I miss most from my country ! ๐ข
Sounds great - go you!! I'm an early runner too & up and out before anything gets in the way! Keep up the good work- great that you are enjoying you running ๐๐๐ปโโ๏ธ๐
Mornings for me too and I have Mr Smooth also, even though I have recently graduated I used him to pep me up this morning. Mornings a great time for nature watching, so sounds good that you want to do it again...
I did 2 long-ish runs of about 2 hours at the weekend, one on Saturday when I went out at about 9:00 and the other on Monday but started at 6:30. What a huge difference the temperature made to my runs.
On the Saturday I was "broken" by the heat and although I was carrying a hydration pack I struggled to keep cool and running all but ceased towards the end. Whilst yesterday my run was so so different and I kept cool in the morning mist until I finished at about 9:00.
If you are road running (which I was) I think an early start is better as the roads haven't had chance to warm up and radiate additional heat.
I know that people have busy lives and cant always choose the times for their runs... but do think about the temperature and how this may effect you... Nevertheless.. if you run in the UK then hot summer days will shortly be a thing of the past!!
I love my early morning runs. Pleasant good morning comments to and from other runners, dog walkers, bikers - didn't realise I had such pleasant folk living nearby - seems we all have something in common๐ฌ
