Practice run on W9R3. :-(

Only managed 17 minutes of the run this morning. I know we all have practice runs but I will admit I am a bit gutted as it was to be my graduation run. I managed the 1st two runs of week 9 just fine so i will go out on Wednesday and smash it.

Excitement!

You are so thrilled that you got here...the running legs just went all floppy! It is a really big thing and you will do it :)

Rest up... put this down to a last minute dress rehearsal... then when you head out next... just relax... start really slowly... forget 'smash' and think, 'cruise.

Let those newly-found running legs take, you on this special run.... kiss the ground with your feet... breathe easy. and make your way to that podium...I shall as ever, be with you all the way... whispering in your ear.. slow and steady does it!!!

Everyone will be waiting!

Thanks Oldfloss. I think sometimes you focus on the here and now and forget that this time 3 months ago I couldn't even run upstairs without feeling tired!! Slow and steady it will be on Wednesday :-)

Sounds like for some reason you just wasn't switched on to doing it today, just seen Oldfloss reply re excitement.

But onwards and upwards, obviously today was not meant to be the day BUT Wednesday you'll smash it

I'd be disappointed too. Did wk5r3 of 20 mins last week and was so surprised by how easily I did it. I was elated. Then i really struggled yesterday with wk6r1, i was trying to increase my pace though. Best of luck for next time.

Perhaps just a little bit too much pressure on yourself?

You know you can do it so you'll be absolutely fine next time. Take your rest day, then set off like you have on all previous runs. How about changing your route?

You've done brilliantly to get this far so I know you'll be posting on Wednesday that you've graduated.

Good luck and happy running!

That's the spirit -anticipation and adrenaline obviously played a part, but you've got this one sorted. The podium is whispering your name and saying he will see you Wednesday. (Don't know why I think the podium is a bloke?)

Happy running for Wednesday

Not what you're looking for?
