Hey lovelies I FINALLY DID IT!! GRADUATED AND PARK RUN ALL IN ONE!!
I was up at 6,ready to leave the house y 7.25 and met my friend and work colleague at 8,then up to the park.
This was a massive experience for me and very much outside my comfort. I can talk for Wales, where I live, ππbut crowds can be a bit nerve racking, but it was fine, the people there were lovely and friendly and made me feel welcome.
I've been suffering with a slight water works problem the last couple of days and really thought I'd have jump in the lake, lol. But my friend ran alongside me, which added 10+ minutes to her usual pace, but she cheered me along, alongside another runner who trails behind the trailers. But I finished it, I didn't stop and I got to the finishing line, very red faced and tired.
I did it in 47+ minutes unfortunately, but my problem distracted me quite a bit as I was dying for the loo from the start. But hey ho, I did it and very chuffed that I did. Can't believe how far I've come and can't believe the kindness from those if you who gave supported me and commented so lovely on my posts. Thank you my friends, one day I would love to meet you all. π
Where do I go from here now, haha?

You grin, enjoy the bling and then do another Park run maybe?
Congratulations on your graduation and also on your first Parkrun. Both are great achievements. Now you have an official PB time to try and improve upon.
Congratulations...you are one of the many on here that are giving me the inspiration to jerk going!!! Really well done!!! πππππππππππππ
You are amazing Beth...that's all...anyone who is just starting out should read your inspirational posts right from the beginning....your journey has been fabulous....I'm in awe of you & I'd love to meet you....one day....absolutely well done, from the bottom of my heart xxx
Excellent! Well done you, what a star.......where do you go from here? .........well there's parkrun every week .......there all the time ready and waiting for you.......the rest is up to you.....πββοΈπ
You did amazingly... and it was tricky for you... with your 'wee' problem.. och aye!
You have had a journey and a half and I have been entertained, and inspired by your posts, every one: You have shown folk the way to make this journey , with eagerness, excitement, and a confidence, in the way C25K takes us forward and always with that happy smiling face
Well done you... you have done it and had terrific fun, including the Park RUN.... an excellent time too.
Where do you go from here???? The choices are endless.... bask in the glory of the Graduation ... then maybe, like a few of us.. run, just because you can... I called them, my runs for pure joy..
Then lots of consolidation of the 30 minute runs,,short, longer, see where you get to, runs...then maybe.. after a couple of weeks or so... move onto the C25K+ podcasts.. they are structured and different, and really support the different disciplines of our running!! They are fun though.... and then.. well.. there is a whole other forum on Bridge to 10K , if , in time, you feel that is where your running legs want to take you... many of us that you know are already over there...
But. take your time... you know my watch-words.. let it evolve and as you have been doing all the way through this journey.... ENJOY!
WOW, absolutely amazing Beth, graduating and a park run, you should be so proud of yourself, keep running and keep posting. XxX ππππΎπΎπΎπ π π
Very well done graduate! And nothing "unfortunate" about 47 mins, a very respectable first time, and something you can now look to work on. Congratulations on finishing C25k and your first Parkrun PB π
WOW!! Amazing work girl! I am so chuffed for you for not only completing the course but making it a park run!!! I hope you went out a big slice of cake afterwards to celebrate!!
Very well done and I guess you'll be moving on to the 10k's now!πππx
