I dont eat any different , unless im going out first thing then ill have a banana. I dont think at this stage we need to eat differently as were not doing extreme distances. I know my dad carb loads before 10k+ races but i obviously thats further down the line. Im following slimming world and have plenty of energy to complete my run (if you ask me that half way through my run i'd tell you i dont though lol)

You do sound active already so maybe somebody else whos more experienced can help , theres a guy on here called rignold who is good with that side of things. Im active as a full time carer and have my 3 children , walk a fair bit but not a fan of the gym

It sounds like you are a busy person and looking for some quick ideas? I do a lot of simple meals as my kids are fussy such as meat and salad, pasta, kebabs etc... for long runs I use energy bars and sweets mostly.... are you looking for fuel ideas for running?

Eat according to your goals is my motto. Are you looking to lose weight, maintain, fuel exercise?

In that case lean meats, fish, eggs, lots of fresh vegetables - mainly greens, some fruit. Avoid sugar, keep starchy carbs to a minimum. Eat seeds and nuts. Establish your TDEE and keep your calorie intake around 3-500 under that but never below your BMR. Have one cheat meal a week but not a cheat day. Drink more water.

I post pretty much everything I eat on Instagram (yes I am one of THOSE people) if you want specific meal ideas. My IG link is in my profile.

I run a lot and like to eat good, nutritious grub. There is plenty of inspiration out there! Just look at the BBC food website, it's packed with ideas!!

I grow my own so whatever the main veg of the day is then I base my meals around it. Go for colour on the plate ! Avoid beige!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘
