I have just completed run 3 week 5, 20 whole minutes nonstop, I'm absolutely delighted, amazed, and very very grateful to the amazing people on here, two wonderful wise mentors and so many nice, funny, warm encouraging people, I really feel that now I have ran for 20 minutes I can do this. Thank you all.

Run 3 week 5
Fanbloodytastic . My new mantra you don't have to be famous to be brilliant, but being a runner helps.
.... You can do this.... you just carry on doing what you are doing...
Now... move onto the next week.... take it slowly and steadily and know that you are ready for it and that you will do it
CONGRATULATIONS!! This is very exciting!! How did you find it?? Keep going
This is me on Saturday hopefully. Did run 2 today. Feeling apprehensive, but reading this post has made me think maybe I can do this. π Well done you!! Enjoy that feeling x
Well done chap, for me this run is the game changer once this one's under your belt the rest just follow and the gremlins slip away
Aww, I'm so chuffed for you Martin, you've done marvellously, fair play. It's a huge achievement and I look forward to you achieving the next run too....yay ππππ€
Thanks Beth. X
Well done you! I've dropped behind you a bit, with various things going on here, so plan to do W5R2 tomorrow. Then after that, I'll be looking forward to get that 20 minuter under my belt! You've nudged me in the right direction.
Onwards and upwards! π
Good to hear that, just think we could graduate in the same week. π
I'm back on track, did run 2 this morning (well, slow jog rather than run, but heck, I kept moving!). I actually was eagerly waiting for Sarah Millican to tell me that my 5 min warm up and rest walks were over, so I could get on with the 8 minutes running, to prove to myself that I could do it! I'm determined to have a real positive mind-set for this programme as I'm sure that's half the battle - let's hope that stands me in good stead for R3 .... I'm just behind you on the way to the podium! πββοΈ
Congratulations -
I did it today as well - put it off for a day in fear and trepidation - but the good news for those about to do it is that I thought it was easier than Run 2 with the two eight minute runs.
Fantastic !!! Well done and thanks for the inspiration - mine today eeekkkkk .
Well done Martin. It really is an amazing feeling isn't it? Was the lovely A6 a good route for it?
Perfect, I ran from 4 lane end towards Westhoughton, very pleasant.
Good work fella! It all seems so daunting at the start but the sense of achievement as each run is ticked off is fantastic especially after the longer ones. Keep going, you're going to smash it!
