Buzzing with myself just completed my 1st Couch to 5K run whoop!
I DID IT!: Buzzing with myself just completed my... - Couch to 5K
I DID IT!
Yaay!
Definitely the hardest day of the programme done!
Big congratulations on getting out the door and starting the plan.
Any advice you need or kick up the rear you will find it here.
Post us your progress and before you know it you will be on the graduation podium and running for 30 mins!
Ran for 8 minutes and that was flipping hard! Can't imagine 30! 🏃
I was about 4 stone overweight when i first started 6 weeks ago. Never ever exercised and the first run nearly killed me. I'm now starting week 6 and run for 20 minutes on Sunday. I'm absolutely astounded with what I've accomplished. I've lost a stone too! Just keep going and you'll be so happy. It's changed everything. You've got this!! Xx
Thank you and well done you! I'm hoping to keep it up so I can talk my son into doing some of it. He is only 15 and very overweight I can get him to keep to an eating plan but exercise nope!
My son was exactly the same, it's very difficult to talk them around though. All you can do is teach by example. He'll see you change throughout the weeks and might change his mind. My son joined the army cadets. He's not sporty at all. He loves the cadets and is more active now than ever. Xx
But.. when you get there.... it is totally wonderful... and get there you will!
Well done! In so many ways the hardest run of them all
Thank u I hope i carry on my youngest doesn't think I will lol 😉
Prove them wrong! The only reason I made it through the programme was because I was stubborn! The first few weeks are the hardest - after that it becomes routine. Keep going and keep posting!
Hahaa are you a Capricorn? I am n stubbornness is one of my traits 😊
Read the starting posts of Graduates. Not too many of us really "believed" we would stick with the programme.
Just take it slowly, steady and at your own pace. We had a survey of Graduates a while back - less than 10% of us finished the programme "on time/with distance" so don't get hung up on "8 weeks" or 5k"
Wishing you many happy miles in your future
Welcome and well done you..! You are going to love this journey... loads of Newbies starting today.. a whole crowd of you...
Keep it slow and steady... take those rest days and keep posting for terrific support and encouragement too
Don't you sometimes wish you could go back to being a newbie? I do. I look back on those times when I really surprised myself with a real fondness. As you tuck away the miles it continues to be rewarding but not in the same way. I'm probably talking gibberish but one thing's for sure CB27LJ10, within a few weeks you will honestly look back in amazement at how far you have come. For me, the progression was fastest in those first few weeks.
Great job keep it up.
Brilliant, you kicked the couch. It only gets better from here on in...
Well done.
I did my first run yesterday but I'm running on treadmill until I get the confidence to run outside. My son is 8 and runs at junior park run and has always wanted me to join him.
Good luck for your future runs.
Brilliant...well done & keep it up!!!
Boom!!! Well done.
Well done! Keep up the good work.
