w9r1, well it is cto5k so that's what it's going to be this week.
So off I went this evening to do my run, hadn't been feeling my best today but nothing bad enough to stop me, anyway off I went.
Kept my pace steady not pushing it 7'35 on the first k, was happy with that onwards I went and took my outbound run to about 2.5k and turned around.
The first couple of k coming back there is a very gentle downward slope and the pace naturally picks up a little.
Feeling nice and strong and knowing Mum was waiting for me at the finish line kept me going
Anyway hit 5k feeling very happy and could have kept on but called it quits and gave a cheer and did a little jig.
Oh and those middle couple of k really helped though time really isn't a worry for me I ended with splits of 6.48
2 runs to go and I'm going to be climbing the steps to the podium and joining the crowd that will be gathered there this week
