The longest 3 mins of my life: W3 R1

Oh my. I was cursing Sanjeev Kohli this evening. I wimped out of the first 3 min run at 2:30. My justification? It was uphill. I know, I know... but I kept on with the rest of the session and, I did complete the second 3minuter so I don't feel so bad. Try again on Friday; determined to do the whole thing.

Please forgive me, running gods!

When I'm going through a 'not so easy' patch, I 'treat myself' to running the flat/downhill bits and speed walking the uphill; then repeating that run when I feel more positive. Just if that makes you feel any better 🙃

I like that idea! Thanks!

Every run makes you stronger and in just a few weeks you will look back in amazement that you struggled at all.

Trying to plan your route to avoid hills ( I know, it is easier said than done in Devon!) is a good ploy.

Keep running, my lovely, keep smiling.

Good job. Slow n steady, - you'll be amazed at how your body adjusts and how you manage to pull off what looks impossible.

Hi hills are killers at this stage of the plan. Can you réorganise so you walk up them and run on the flat? This is me being a hypocrite because I don't, but if you are finding it hard, then it's no problem building up your stamina and kms on the flat, so you can tackle the hills a bit later when you're a little fitter. Or try doing half and half some running and walking. You don't need forgiveness from the running gods, as they know you have an extra burden with the hills.... good luck next time out
