Hi. I'm planning on starting C25K tomorrow. I tried it before years ago and gave up around week 3. I've been reading everyone's experiences and I'm really keen to try again and complete it this time. I'm overweight and really unfit so it is all a bit daunting! I have osteoarthritis in both big toes but I'm really hoping that won't get in the way (when wearing flat shoes, I generally have low level discomfort walking, nothing too unbearable). Has anyone managed to complete the programme with this kind of arthritis?

Good on you for starting! I did my first run on Saturday and my 2nd today. I can't say I enjoyed the run (I've heard that comes in time), but I do love the feeling of accomplishment after finishing!

Let us know how it goes!!!

Fiona - you little beauty!! Good on you for starting this amazing programme. I'm in my 5th year and it's changed my life. Slimmer, healthier and feel so much better for doing C25K. Don't give up. See it through to week 9 and make running three times per week part of your life routine. You will really not regret it - and it's free!!!!

Well done you for coming back stronger than ever! I'm Very overweight (morbidly obese, I would think) and I've managed to run 20 mins today! Sure, at a snails pace (the amount I was sweating it probably looked like I was leaving a trail too!), but know if I can do it anyone can! Best of luck. Honestly, slow and steady!

That's fantastic, well done! I have a bit more belief in myself now that I'll be able to do this. Thanks for that!
