Hello, I'm Sophie I have signed up to 3 5k runs this year in attempt to raise money for charity and become fitter and healthier. I have a few health problems and I am very nervous as I'm embarrassed running in public as I am constantly gasping for air, fingers crossed couch to 5k will seriously improve this and give me some confidence to complete these runs.

Hi, I’m on week 4 and i can honestly say my fitness has improved so much. I love C25K. As hard as it is sometimes you feel so great when you complete each session. Good luck! 😊

Hey, I was nervous about running in public when I first started too but now I’m into week 3 and it doesn’t phase me atall. Honestly just go for it - once you’ve got going just focus on one foot in front of the other at your own pace and you’ll love it. Good luck with the fundraising 🙌🏻 X

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and explains the recommended easy conversational pace, at which you will not be gasping.........slow down.

Enjoy your journey
