Finally made it into week 8! Had dreadful night's sleep and wasn't feeling like running at all but got up and did it, really glad I did.

Does anyone else find their sleep is disturbed the night before a morning run? I think I get apprehensive.

Yes I used to get this. Partly because I get up over an hour earlier in the week to run before work, so I used to fret about making sure my alarm was on and the time was set properly, etc.

It'll pass though.

In a word 'Yes'! Particularly when the previous run hasn't gone so well. But I try to remind myself that most runs go ok, some even well (I'm whispering that bit!).

I find if I run the route in my mind I've usually dropped off before I get to the end. I try to imagine every detail, the bumps in the path, the next oak tree, where I saw a squirrel last week etc, etc. Sounds daft I know but it usually works for me.

You're doing really well to get to W8 so think positively and you'll soon be graduating.

Thanks! That's a great idea about going through the route in my mind, that's bound to send me off to sleep! I guess if I had to do something else that I wasn't sure I could do, I'd have a broken night's sleep then as well - so it makes sense that doing a new run makes me nervous. I've been so sleepy today!
