I have just completed Wk5 run 1 😊I struggled in Wk 1 and never thought I would be running 5 minutes at a time. Obviously concerned about the step up to 20 but all your posts are inspiring me. Also booked to do Park run on 16th September. Thanks Verwood Running Buddies couldn't do it without you.

I have just started week 5 run 1 too with Jo I love hearing her say I am a runner but sometimes feel like shouting at her when I am struggling and she says "your halfway" . I love this programme can't believe how far we have all done.

me too. finished week 5 run 1 yesterday and on day of rest today. i actually ran 3 days in a row. i started c25k on holiday with my sister at week 3 and it was fine. i am not a runner and now can't believe i want to go out runnng, but have followed the strong advice to have rest days. going on a park run saturday which will be run 3. thought that a good way to combine. i would like to lose 3 kg and get fit. oh i am 60 and never ever thought i would run! having people at same stage as me on here will be a great support, so will follow you if ok!

Wow starting at Week 3 that is impressive I barely made it through week 1 can't believe I am still here, I have never been a runner and still don't believe I can do this but I am motivated and determined - I am little disheartened the weight is not dropping though , I do think the rest days help as I lol forward to my run if we all stick together we will do this 🌞

crazy more love me but i have been walking 10,000 steps most days for a littl while when i can bother d, motivation lacking. i was completely knacker d and out of breath on my first run and would not have done it without my sis. i have huge misgivings about the jump to 20 mins though. i want to get my resting heart rate down too.

Thanks for your reply I am 58 and never thought i could run either.

left my reply under the first reply to yrs. will follow you as i just completed week five run one too! i think i am getting the running bug as i want to run today! i started in week three as i did it with my sister but going back and completing two missing two weeks. i will run every other day if i can. i haven't got the runners high yet and for me i think it's going to be a mental wall. i took advice on the forums and ran with the podcast rather than the app yesterday and found that better and stopped me clock watching which helped!

I'm going to have to have words with Michael. He didn't tell me I was a runner in my first run of week 5. Maybe that'll come tonight in run 2.😬

Maybe I'm not listening to anything other than 'slow down to a walk' πŸ˜‚

Well done! Keep going and please don't give up. Do a run at a time and just remember you can do it.

I completed couch to 5k 2 weeks ago and am so glad I stuck with it. You can too. Really!

Have faith and don't fear. You will do it as countless others have. You build up your kms and stamina and I promise your grin after this run, lights up he sky. Which will all the rubbish weather in the UK is needed ... so run to give people sunny weather!
