Week 2 done ๐Ÿ‘Š

That wasn't so bad! But 2 minutes running next week seems impossible but I'll give it a go, perhaps I'll surprise myself.

However, I have a weeks holiday from Friday and I'm gutted that it'll interrupt such progress โ˜น๏ธ any suggestions? It'll be too hot in Italy ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น to be running but I will be walking and swimming.

Should I start week 3 run 1 on Thursday before I go and complete the rest of week 3 on my return?

Well done you.... just trust the programme and have faith in it and yourself! It gets you through each week beautifully!

You can run in Italy if you want to :)

Hidden is in Italy... and she runs:) I am sure she will give you some tips:) I ran in the Dordogne last year...in August.. just got up very early :) Running tourism is such fun:)

Have your next run Thursday then your next in Italy ? :)

Hey Lucifer we are told is leaving us Wednesday but we still have a couple of days on his tail winds we are told Saturday things go back to the usual 28/29. Generally that means an earlyish start about 7am can be about 19/20 degrees. None of this counts if you're in Sicily, because it is almost central African temperatures there now and whilst we are having 40 - 45, last week they got up to 49, which is severe danger level...

Usual tips if running here, scope your route first by walking it at the time you intend running it - so you know exactly where the shade is. Wet your vest, wet your hair - if a lady add conditioner, so you don't get straw locks. Half fill your water bottle and put in freezer then top up with water in the morning as it gives you something cold to hold and press against your face /neck if needed. don't forget the sunscreen. Channel old floss and go slower than you imagine you can and it works...

Good luck and even if you don't run, do the walking as its nice to be about when Italy is waking up...

You will surprise yourself. Be even more surprising and take your trainers to Italy. Even if you only repeat week one and two type runs it will build your stamina ready for blasting it when you get home.

Have a wonderful time in Italy, you lucky thing.

I ran (wk3d3) in the Dordogne last night. Got a Bonsoir from some proper runners, felt I had joined a new community. Lovely running in different scenery.

Certainly do W3R1 on Thursday. If running at 40 degrees in Italy is a challenge too far (it would be for me), your walking and swimming will ensure you keep your fitness up and you can carry on with Week 3 when you get back.

Well done on completing week 2. Definitely do the W3r1. Take your trainers with you on holiday. Rumour has it it is getting cooler. Might be ok to run.

I had a week in the USA at about the same point in the program, I planned to run while I was on holiday but it never happened. It took another week after I came back before I felt ok to run (jetlag totally messed up my body clock). I wondered whether to redo a run too, but decided that I'd try the next week and drop back if it felt too difficult. In the end I was fine, the two week break didn't seem to affect me too much. So I'd say try to run, walk or swim while you're away, then pick up where you left off when you are back. Be prepared to redo a previous run if you feel like you need it.

Italy! Lovely! Years ago I rode my motorbike over the Swiss Alps down to northern Italy's lake Maggiore, was excellent! Although got a tad warm done up in Motorcycle clothing, temp went up to over 40deg!

Think the temp is very high in central & southern Italy at the moment(Lucifer) so yes you can run very early in the morning, but the way it's been, maybe still too hot for running if not used to it, but give it a try and see..have a great holiday!๐Ÿ˜Š
