w7r2 tomorrow and it's coming together, have got it together as far as sustainable pace (was so glad when that one clicked) and now learning to use the lay of the land shortening my stride on an incline and lengthening on a decline stepping out and letting the decline take me --- slowly slowly it's starting to happen

Blimey get you with your technicalities... you are doing this properly aren't you? It took me two goes to understand what you were saying. Does it hurt the lengthening and shortening, as in it messes with your breathing or other stuff?

I'd never considered stride changes. Am on same run tomorrow, good luck on yours and please continue my running education. If you don't mind doing it.

lol , wax on wax of grasshopper

My breathing seems to naturally adjust with my pace, I weez and puff just the same, but it feels good and right

If it feels right for you rolysmate that is just fine:)

Just run the way that feels right for you... sometimes, trying, to adjust stride can really cause issues... you just do it, your way! You are doing just fine:)

Getting closer by the run and taking it gently! That will get you there...! Finding the individual pace that is your comfy pace is fantastic... :)

Wait until after Graduation you start doing longer relaxed runs... you really will enjoy them:)

Sounds like it is all coming good!

Be careful about lengthening stride as it can cause injury.

Enjoy!

not stretching out to far just lengthening the stride a little from the current micro steps
