We are a family group mum age 59, son 30 and girlfriend 25. All overweight. The girlfriend signed up to a 5k in Feb so we all decided to get fit. Just coming upto run 3 week 3. Some aches and pains but starting to feel the benefits. We invested in phone armbands and head torches. We run at 8pm around the rec. The neighbours must think we are mad. We are!

Well done! Great effort by you and your family. It’s not always easy - but stick with it!

Welcome and well done to the 3 of you.

Keep showing the neighbours your commitment... maybe they think you’re mad, but I bet they’re also pretty damn impressed.

Enjoy the rest of your journey.

Well done for starting on this great journey from Couch to 5K! It will be great to have your family to train with - you can spur each other on! Being overweight won't stop you - I'm carrying an excess 5 stone but still coping with it and feeling the benefits. My neighbour thought I was mad, too, but now she's joined me and we train together! Let us know how you're getting on as the weeks progress! :-)

Well done for getting out there and doing it! It's so easy not to bother and the fact you're making the effort is something you should be proud of. Don't worry about what the neighbours think, haha! Good luck on the rest of your runs :)
