Just finished W5 run 3. Definitely a case of mind over matter. Around the 9min marker I was thinking "I could justwalk now." Then I thought about you guys and what reason I'd give as to why I walked and I decided I couldn't find a reason to stop running, so I'd better carry on!I know none of you would've condemned me if I'd walked for a while but having this forum gives me a semblance of accountability. Without you guys cheering me on I'd have walked. So thank youDave55 , Hidden , Oldfloss and everyone else (too many to mention) for posting on here and getting in my head!
Thank you: Just finished W5 run 3. Definitely a... - Couch to 5K
Thank you
Well done you, we knew you could do it. And I know what you mean about accountability. Take us all in your head next time in Week 6 and let us know how we enjoyed your run. Go kittentamer, you're close to becoming the lion tamer...
YEP! - 1) check the legs .... ache is fine, hurt isn't If they are OK (and they usually are) > 2) are you breathing ok ... a bit breathless is OK, wheezing and struggling isn't. If breathing's OK (and it usually is at our level) > 3) CARRY ON ... time for brain training!
Yaaay! Well done! Bet it felt good afterwards!
I'm miles behind you but this lot & what they were going to read were what kept me going....I wanted to make them smile!!!!!
Well done. I think we all dread W5R3 but you're right, telling yourself you can do it and being motivated by people on this forum really does help. I think it's still early days getting the pace right (a bit of trial and error) but you seem to be doing really well. Good luck for week 6.
