My gremlins sent a "thank you" note!

They sent my rheumatology consultant a "thank you" note for telling me not to run after my fall last Saturday. Apparently the fall badly aggravated my arthritis. She today sent me away with still more medications and a shovel to help me swallow them each morning along with all the rest of the "stuff" I take. I never thought a simple trip would cause such havoc. Mind you, those gremlins weren't too pleased with me today for ignoring the park cafe as I WALKED past it (3 times!) on the local 5K Parkrun course ... had to be done. I do ache though .....

Morning David. Brilliant that you are chasing off those blooming gremlins!

What i have found is that I ache more if i dont move rather than if i keep moving. Its therefore great that you are out there 👍🏼💪🏻

Got to (& will) keep going - but I think it will have to be walking for now because yesterday's walk proved to me that the consultant's probably right about me not running for now. I think the technical term is "jiggling things up and down too much".

Well done for keeping going. A walk is just as good for you and those gremlins will be gnashing their teeth. Just whack them with that meds shovel!

Wishing you a good recovery from the fall :) .

I have oestoarthritis and non movement causes me pain. My docs have requested I stay on painkillers longer than I would of normally after my op as movement helps me heal better and faster. Speedy recovery Rfcx.

Without getting into the "I'll show you mine if you show me yours!" .. I have apparently got a mixture of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I'm trying to avoid ops for the osteoarthritis as long as I can but have ongoing treatment for the rheumatoid stuff. I have been told the same, better the painkillers and movement than non movement. Looks like tripping and falling on my face last Saturday was a bit more movement than was being recommended! Anyhow for me it looks like 5K walks for now.
