Have done an extra week of week one runs, I took the plunge today and completed week two day one, so happy π thought I would struggle more than I actually have. Doing extra stretches as bottom of my back feels so tight today.
Also does anyone find their leg or foot hurts the day after?
Ankle to mid calf on one leg and top of foot on the other ... maybe I'm just strange
I run in new balance tech ride, think I may need a different pair.

I think many folk found everything hurt! Stretches and rolling will help and exercise on your rest days too is very useful...Did you get gait analysis or just buy ?
Well done for pushing through the challenge. So much of learning to run is developing the belief in your own abilities as much as training the body. Trust the programme to prepare you for the next step up and keep moving on. If you don't try you will never know and if you don't quite make it, you just repeat until you do.
Regarding footwear, I think it would be advisable to have a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop (not a sportswear shed). Plantar fasciitis needs to be handled with care, so if you take your current shoes with you, they will be able to advise for your particular running style and provide appropriate shoes. We all ache to start with but having the right shoes may well solve your problems.
