Week 1 Run 1!

Dragged myself out of bed this morning to do my first run (well walk / run) after much procrastination. I'm 13kg over what I should be and as I can see 40 on the horizon I finally decided to do something about it. Wish me luck on my journey to getting a lot fitter.

Well done on your first run and good luck with the programme! Remember to take it steady and post on here to let us know how things are going. We are a supportive bunch and there is lots of advice which will be helpful as well as others who will be at the same stage as you.🙂

Very well done you... did you find it okay?

Many have trod this path and carried a little extra luggage too.. but they end up fitter and leaner and..tauter ( gosh, I make it sound like a racehorse)

Follow the programme, take your rest days and listen to that body of yours, which may well protest a bit at first! Extra strength and stamina exercise on rest days will help too!

Keep posting for, as Sandraj39 says, great support and encouragement on your journey!

40 on the horizon, mine is a journey and a half back in the rear view mirror. It doesn't matter what age or fitness you start with it's the attitude in your head that will see you through. And you've just joined the best running club in the world. Oldfloss and IannodaTruffe are the mentors and what they say is so helpful. Keep running and posting and you will surpass your fortieth feeling like a happy and fit runner... good luck
