Haha, I remember that feeling vividly! For me, this was the biggest hurdle in the whole programme, something in my head changed once I had done the dreaded 20, I began to believe it was possible to run for 30 mins - and I can!! Very well done, you will smash the rest of the runs now and you will soon be on the podium!

Great news. Had a sneak peek ahead and that seemed a big ramp up so congrats!

I never thought I would make the jump from 8 mins to 20. If I can do it, you can. Good luck.

Aww excellent. I'm sitting here contemplating week 5 run 1 but seems like a huge hurdle to get over for some reason... spent an hour talking myself out of it. Any advice? 😳

Head out with the attitude that you can do it, but if you don't manage it you can try again. I was dreading last night, have given up at this exact point before, but I went out thinking, if I needed to walk for a minute in the middle of a run I would and regard it as a practise, that took the pressure off. I have also slowed my pace massively, it really is no faster than walking but with a jogging action. I feel I can pick up the pace at a much later stage. I have also changed from Sarah to Michael as my coach and listen to something I am interested in, not music. Try any or all of them, something might work. You can do it, but make it your pace! Good luck, you can do it.

I did it! πŸŽ‰ Thank you for taking the time to reply .....pace is the main thing that I need to get over and address at a later date. I will have a go at switching between coaches too. Great advice thank you

Really pleased for you, I still cannot believe I did it! I am definitely aiming at a slower pace to the distance every time now. πŸ˜„

Thank you ... I'm loving that self satisfied smug feeling I've been carrying around with me today. However, after a days rest, the fear of run 2 will manifest itself no doubt! But I'll go with a little modest smugness until then 😁
