I am doing couch 2 5k plan. Just finished week 6 and did 3.5k in 25 min. Hoping to get to 5k before I am 50 in a few weeks. Feeling fitter at 50 than I was at 40!

Great! Don't forget to cut yourself some slack if the joints start to creak. Better to get there in good shape than to stagger across the line injured.
That's a very good point! My mind is on the target, but if I don't get there I know that I have still done something good for myself so I am still happy.
What do you mean if you do the get there? If your mind doing is made, you will get there.

3.5k in 25 minutes is pretty good. I'd be quite happy with that. According to Google that's just marginally over 2.1 miles. That's how far I got in 30 minutes when I last tried.
When you say you want to do 5k, is that 5k running non-stop, or 5k in a certain time? The former is think would be epic (I could do it in my youth but it's epic now). I think if your doing 3.5k in 25 minutes, then I think you're well on course for a good 5k time.
Thanks for the encouragement I am aiming to do 5k without stopping...I don't mind if it takes more than 30 mins. But it is good to hear from someone else that I am moving in the right direction.
I think its a good target, but then mine is first triathlon aged 60. Sounds like you will achieve yours, not so sure about mine lol
Ty. Haven't been on the bike for about 5 years, on week 5 of C25k, (swim no problems as did Iron man course last year) but 3 - 4 years to work up to it lol
