Just one run left. Am getting slower I think because I am getting braver with hills. Experimenting with different paths in the woods and ended up with a long uphill section in the first half of the run. Good speed at the end -all downhill.
Map my run must be confused. Saw a baby deer just off the path and wanted to get a better look so turned round and ran past again then turned back to pass it again. Early morning running is the best. Not sure I will think that in December!
Never ever run on ice or snow though... it is the one time I do not, venture out !
Go you.. out there and trailing and tracking and wildlife too..it is brilliant isn't it? And how can it be too slow, when you see so much and are benefiting so much too! it sounds a lovely run and the hills!!! Well you are a runner after all
Slow and steady.. the badge is out of the box and waiting
I will definitely not be running in snow or ice. Broke my elbow a few years ago walking in snow so now very afraid. Not sure I will be running in the woods in the dark which will mean weekends only in winter.
I'll be claiming that badge in the week and plan my first Park run next Saturday.
Brilliant, well done, you've got that positive mindset; who knows, father Christmas might bring you a head torch and thermal leggings for those winter morning runs; enjoy.
I did wonder about head torch. Would probably be OK if I stuck to the bigger paths. Smaller ones very uneven with lots of tree roots. Partner would hate it though and think I was bound to be attacked.
