Week 1 Run 1

Hi all,

After lots of deliberation and self doubt, I've decided to try the couch to 5k thing mainly to try and help lose a little extra weight, but also to try and improve my general fitness.

Just done run 1 today along Bridgewater Canal as it goes towards Runcorn Old Town and it went better than I thought it would - I struggled a little bit with the final two runs but managed to keep going, although not quite at the same pace as the first few runs!

I also didn't turn around at the half way point, but it doesn't matter so much when you have nice scenery and a pleasant day to enjoy it on the walk home :)

Good on you, can be tough sometimes, but it's a fab programme and you will be able to do it. Enjoy.

Thanks everyone, I'm really pleased that I got myself off the couch today to do this. Looking forward to my next run on Monday when I get home from work :)

Good on you for getti g out there tbis morning. Beautiful day and looks a lovely place to run.

What a lovely place to run! And those trails are so much more pleasant than pounding along the concrete pavement with all the traffic thundering past
