I look like an arse out there!

First week and I'm laughing because I can only imagine how I look out there! I have plantar fasciitis for sure on my left foot and the tightest outer calf you can imagine on my right leg...I am struggling trying to get good stretches for both of these areas. I am hobbling around at work like an old person...never mind climbing stairs! I did figure out I need to run a little slower and not lift my feet quite so much. I bet it looks like I'm shuffling but honestly, I don't want to injure myself right out of the gate. And you know what? That's okay because every little bit I am doing is more than I was doing yesterday!

It'll get better. I don't have so much of the old lady hobbles anymore.

Welcome to the programme:)

If you have some issues they need tackling before you end up on the IC!

runnersworld.com/tag/planta...

Please do not ignore the calf pain.. I am currently on the IC.. suffering the exquisite torture of a roller on my calf !

Take an extra rest day..( rest days are crucial) and treat that calf, it may need rest... and make sure you feel fit enough to head out again...

You look like a runner, because you are running...:)

But, if you push your body too far at this very early stage you may end up looking like an Ass..( the long-eared variety) :)

That's the ticket. You will get stronger and fitter as the programme progresses. Take Care :)

Not what you're looking for?
