No, you shouldn't....... you must take a rest day.. essential on this programme:)

Why are you dreading it?

Because I struggled doing week three with 3 minute runs so a bit apprehensive about doing 5 min runs .... just hoping I can do it

This training plan is flexible and is designed to gently increase demands on you until you can run for thirty minutes and presumably that is what you want to do. Without increasing the demand, you would never get to thirty minutes.........there is nothing to fear.

Should you not complete a run then you simply repeat it until your body is capable of doing it, then you move on to the next one.

Don't dread any run. Each one is building your body towards your target, so should be approached as a challenge that you will need determination and belief to overcome. Just enjoy it.

Your body strengthens and repairs itself on your rest days, NOT while running. Always take your rest days.

No... loads of folk have tried to miss rest days and upped the runs and their speed and they disappear very quickly from the forum.. or end up on the IC.

As the runs get longer, you will be very glad of the rest days:)
