Week 3 completed π: Just completed week 3 of... - Couch to 5K
Week 3 completed π
Well done for completing W3, it's such a sense of achievement ππ»
This was me last Thursday! I struggled W4 run 1 and didn't manage the full 5 mins.
However, tonight W4R2, I did it.... can't quite believe it, I'm stunned.
Good luck for your next run
Well done , I will probably be the same and struggle as i struggled doing 3 minutes ... fingers crossed for tomorrow x
Slow it right down if you're struggling. I run with a group and when we jumped to 20 mins I was terrified. Already the slowest in the group I thought I was bound to fail but I was encouraged by the run leader to run slowly. I noticed lots of those who ran past me couldn't keep up the 20 mins but I did. Think hare and tortoise. Be the winning tortoise!
If you're like me, the self doubt tries to kick in. I've just done my first run of week 4 and I managed to ignore the negative voice in my head. It was hard but we knew this before didn't we lol. Good luck!
Because the programme will take you there..you just need to follow it, slowly and steadily and trust it!
I run up to 10K now... the week I started C25K I thought I might collapse and never get up... after just 60 seconds running... You will do this
You're on your way ! Sometimes I just set out on my warm-up walk thinking 'tra-la-la - might run, might not - tra-la-la'. So far I've always run (week 8 nearly done - tra-la-la)πΌ. Try trickery??? X
'No clue' - EXACTLY THE SITUATION So - when you go out for your run, Relax!. You have never done this before so who knows what may happen ? It's all an experiment, those first runs at the beginning of a new stage in the programme Only after that first run at the new time will you have any idea of how you will do so relax and enjoy the experience of trying something for the first time.
Just take it slow and steady and see how it goes - and as soon as you start tensing up from 'should' or 'musts'...remind yourself to relax as you really have 'no clue' what 'should' or 'must' happen
I was convinced I would drop out at week 3 or 4 but I'm just about to leave to do run 2 of week 7. I have totally amazed myself. I'm obese and yet there I am running for 25 minutes! You can do it!
