W9R3 done! Plus some rambling tips!

Whoop well I finally completed the course this morning! It was my toughest run yet but I'm so pleased that I've stuck with this. My main aim with this programme was to develop a regular exercise habit/routine and that's exactly what I've done so I'm super chuffed with that!

I've got so much from this forum and absolutely would not have finished this if it wasn't for all the support on here. To give something back I just wanted to share my main tips that I've picked up for anyone who's just starting out. I'm not pretending to be an expert after 9 weeks but they are things have helped me along the way :)

- Trust the programme and commit to each run. I think setting off each time with the mindset that the people who designed this know what they're doing so there was no way I wasn't going to complete this really gave me confidence 💪🏻

- It doesn't matter how slow you go just don't stop. Even when it felt like my walking would be faster, knowing I could go as slow as I liked gave me confidence to get through each run. 🐢

- Stretching and foam rolling has helped ease niggles and get me through. There's a YouTube channel called The Run experience which I found really helpful for these kind of tips. 💻

- Focus on the here and now to avoid becoming overwhelmed with new distances. Ask yourself 'am I ok right now?' the answer for me was always 'just about'! 😂

- Feeling uncomfortable is necessary for change - accept and embrace it! This was a big one for me and helped me get through the tougher runs. It's not meant to be easy, and the harder it is the more you are improving! 🤘🏻

Sorry for the long post! And thanks again to everyone on here for your support along the way ☺️🏃🏻‍♀️ Xx
