I set out this morning (a little nervous - not sure why) for my graduation run, after about 10 mins I bumped into a friend's mum π¬ I tried to carry on jogging but she jogged alongside me until I came to a halt for a chat!
On the plus side I sold her the virtues of C25k and my legs felt super strong when I set off again! Rest day tomorrow then I will tackle it again on Monday morning - hopefully more confidently this time too βΊοΈππ»ββοΈ Xx

Thanks for your message and all your support along the way! I seriously would not have made it this far without the slow and steady mantra π’ππ»ββοΈβΊοΈ Xx
Awww, that's a shame. I've been lucky not to have been stopped by anyone, although I've panted a quick "hello" to several people. It must be tricky if people want a proper chat. Good luck with the next try x
I know what you mean, usually my puffing and sweating is enough to put people off! Although it did make me laugh that we were jogging together for a while - she must have been keen for a chat!! Better luck next time! ππΌ Xx
Shame about having to stop but you sound good to go on Monday. The nerves are probably just to do with it being the final run. Do you have any plans for when you graduate?
Yes I think the nerves are to do with coming to the end of the programme. π¬ I definitely work better with a training plan so I think I'm going to keep increasing the time until I hit 5k, then maybe look for a 10k plan. I'm more interested in increasing distance than speed at this point but we will see. Have you got any tips for post graduation? Xx
There are other podcasts you can do such as speed and stamina (which I didn't do but lots of people use successfully). I went out with the idea of a couple of weeks worth of repeating week 9 but I'd run a little further on one day each week (increasing by about 10% either distance or time). Or that was the plan anyway. You might find park run good if you have one near you. Try out different routes too. Basically anything that keep you enjoying going out there is good. Happy running
