As much as I'd love to believe my dear friend Strava this morning I don't. I've been sitting around the 10-11 minute split pace for a while. Went on a mainly flat run today (very hard to find where I live) so basically means running to a track, up and down the track and then back up to head home. It seems to believe I may have run some sub 6 minute miles however my Mile PR remains at 09.20 (YES) wondering if anyone could please explain what's happened?

Don't take this the wrong way but are you mixing up metric distances and your imperial as the 5.39 minutes is actually for .62 of a mile. Hope that helps a bit

I'm comparing the splits at the top (blue), mile 3 being 5.34 and mile 4 being 5.40 (no way did I run 2 miles in 11.14) and the Mile PR at the bottom being 09.20. The 1km speed is not in question.

Yes I totally see where you are coming from. I get the odd blip when I sync my garmin with Strava.... it does seem excessively fast for those 2 miles!!!

Yes, it's not possible I ran that fast although I'd like to take the credit! I'm wondering whether it's because I went up a down a track it skipped GPS lengths? Added in extra?
