Hi, I’ve been using Strava to track my distance and pace to see if I’m making any progress, do guys start timing from when you start running or do you include the 5 min warm up/down?

Probably best not to include the warm up/cool down. Otherwise when you get really faster it'll pull down your stats...
It does mean a bit of faffing around with technology a bit tho...
Do your warm up, do a few dynamic stretches, get Strava started and then run around
Hi Clare, I use MapMyRun (similar to Strava I believe) and I have it set to a 5 minute delayed start. So I set both apps going at the same time, and it starts up after the 5 minute warm-up walk. My music is linked to it so I walk in silence - no big deal!
I stop it manually before the cool-down walk, so only my running (hahaha 🐌🐌🐌) is recorded.

Ahhh! I’ve been starting Strava and map my walk from when I leave till when I return home. 5mins walk both ways and use it as my warm up! Seeing these posts I think I should delay Strava till I hit the park and start the runs 👍🏽
