I use strava to track pace but always turn it on as soon as I leave the house. Does anyone else use it and beyond wk 7 do you start it when the warm up finishes? Keen to see how far I can actually 'run' in anticipation of doing a park run in June. 5k seems quite a lot further than I get in my current run section

I've just done W7R2 - (used the treadmill during the winter and now repeating some sections of C25K again outside ) I use Runkeeper and switch it on after my warm up and off for last five minutes cool down walk. This morning's readings are 3.51km 25.47 duration and 7.20 min/km. Not the fastest run but ok for coming 70 at the end of the year lol
I’d say at this stage focus more on the duration, rather than look so far ahead. C25K should really be called - learn to run for 30 minutes, but they went with the snappier title! Not many of us graduate with a 5k, if you’re young and generally quite fit it’s doable, but for some of us the 30 minutes should be the focus. You’re not far from graduating, and by the time you’ve consolidated you’ll be running 5k in June!
I start Strava from the minute I step out of the front door. Be warned she is abit fickle as I think she picks up fellow Strava users. I once apparently ran 7.4 km in 39 minutes and ended up at someone else's house.
How about practicing the Park Run route to get used to it? Our local PR is 3 laps of our Park so I used the route but stuck to the programme on the last couple of weeks so I didn't run the full 5k, if you see what I mean?
Good luck, you are so close to finishing now, well done on your fantastic progress.
If you want to measure the running then just measure the running.
If you look at this poll of graduates healthunlocked.com/couchto5.... you will see that only a small proportion manage a sub 30 minute 5k by graduation.
I'm going to try this with mapmyrun today. I know I'll be nowhere near 5k with my 25 minutes run but I am curious to see what it says about pace and distance...
