Back yard 76 degrees and 99% humidity at 6:30 am. I'm thinking I might switch around my recovery days since it's turned into a tropical rainforest. I've already run in this twice this week, and it's supposed to start improving tomorrow.

I thought my run last night was bad, sweating from every pore (and more). Take the extra day and then go for it.
After taking the day off, I went back out this morning, but the weather conditions have only just barely improved. At about the 2 mile mark my dog started to fall behind, it was time to stop running and walk her home. I then went back out and just sort of fell into a zone, not sure how to describe it. Is this that mythic runners zone I've heard of but never believed in? 3.25 miles later I figured I'd best stop as it occurred to me that I'd run much further than I ever had in my life (walking break or not). Almost 5.5 miles. Crazy. My body is really starting to feel healthy/good finally after all those decades of smoking. I think I'll take another day or two off to try and keep it that way.
