So I haven't long finished W8R3. This is getting tougher for me I don't no weather it was a 24 degree heat or because I've been standing at work all day or maybe I'm just making excuses my legs just felt so heavy. I got half way and I stopped the clock rested for 30 seconds then done the 2nd half so hot. I was slower than a herd of turtles so I really need to start upping my pace. 😨😨

24 degrees is not a good temperature for running never mind upping your pace. I start week 7 tomorrow and fully expect not to manage the run even with going out really early. Think we chose the wrong summer to take up running.

I no totally but when it's your running day you hate to miss it. But will c how week 9 goes on Monday and if I find it tough il maybe repeat week 8. Good luck with week 7! πŸ‘

Props to you for getting through it!! Running in the heat is tough and I struggle with it.. I try to get up really early to beat the heat. One thing I realized pretty quickly, too, was that I was pretty dehydrated so my mouth and throat were really dry during runs, I'd get side stitches, and in general just felt exhausted. I started putting electrolyte tablets in my water to make sure I was replenishing after the daily loss of fluids through sweat. Good luck and push on!! Getting through the days that feel really challenging is a huge accomplishment :)

Thank you. Yes maybe dehydration could've been the problem too. I swallowed a fly too which wasn't pleasant haha could've done with water too. I've never heard of electrolyte before?

Haha oh no that's awful, I've swallowed my fair share of bugs it definitely isn't a good feeling

Here is some info on electrolyte tablets and the brand that I use specifically:

I drink at least 2 glasses of water before I go out - and also try to run before the heat of day really kicks in - so usually get out by 7:30
